Every account on the XRP Ledger but the first was paid into existence by another account, and the ledger keeps that payment for ever — XRPL calls it activation. Following those payments down from the wallet known as Hodler's gives an activation tree of 8 accounts, called Hodler's activation tree in this series. This article lists every one: who created it, when, what it holds, and what else the ledger records about it.
